Neurodevelopmental Assessments

Mosaics-of-Life is pleased to offer diagnostic assessments for ADHD and ASC, for both adults and children.

The aim is to provide an ethical, holistic, empathic and supportive process. Diagnostic assessments unfortunately require some box-ticking and formal exercises, sometimes making it feel lacking of human touch. Mosaics-of-Life Therapies therefore hopes to offer each client a containing experience of the process, where they feel heard, respected and valued each step of the way. The processes described below have been designed to ensure adherence to the NICE guidelines.

While an assessment in itself does not guarantee a diagnosis, any alternatives and further referrals will be discussed in details.

All pathways include a full mental health assessment and a support plan for next steps. Mental health assessments with children follow the psychotherapeutic model, as it allows time and space to become more comfortable together. Subsequent neurodevelopmental assessments then provide a more accurate representation of a client’s presentation.

Please note that these are non-medical assessments. Medication cannot be prescribed and advice on this topic is not part of the process. However, clients seeking to get medication will be signposted to a relevant clinic and this will not in any way prevent us from working therapeutically together post-diagnosis, if this is required.

Fees vary according to specific pathway, levels of complexity and to whether or not we have worked together before (i.e if you have recently completed a mental health assessment/initial consultation). You will be invoiced for the full assessment, but it can be paid in installments.
Fees will always reflect our commitment to ethical values.
